Hi, I’m Katie
YOUR DESIGNER & FELLOW BEACH LOVER
With an advertising background and over 10 years of corporate experience designing for a family-owned company, a start-up company, and currently as art director for a large global brands company, I work with brands at every stage of development and help transform their visual identity to better attract and resonate with their customers.
Born and raised in Southern California, beach culture is in my blood. Okay, so I was never any good at surfing, but I’m really good at beach naps and shaking up tiki drinks. Everything is better with pineapple, including pizza. And yes, the name Kokomo Creative is inspired by The Beach Boys—basically the soundtrack of my childhood.
I live in Mission Viejo, California with my husband and baby girl. I’m a 3 on the enneagram which is called the “achiever.” This type is typically highly motivated, loves to get stuff done, and impress others. This all basically means I will work tirelessly to make sure you love your brand and the work we create together.
About Kokomo Creative
So why the name Kokomo Creative? Growing up in Southern California beach culture, The Beach Boys were often playing in the background. While “Kokomo” may not be my favorite Beach Boys tune, I love the idea of this mystical far-off place existing and taking a trip to paradise with each listen. Each design project is a unique journey of transformation.
